February Goals

I don't have many for the month due to the fact that I'm most likely in the last few weeks of this pregnancy. Because of that, my goals are all related to that and have a deadline. The biggest goal though is to try and keep this girl cookin' through the end of the month. Since finding out my due date of March 21st, my goal has been to have a March baby. February 28th is the 37 week mark, so on or after March 1st is totally acceptable. I realize I have very little control over this, but I can at least make an effort to not overdo it around the house or at work, keep my eating within the gestational diabetes guidelines and try to stay calm so my blood pressure doesn't go up. It was actually 108/63 yesterday which is impressive considering my pregnancy with Tucker. This is when my BP started going to shit.

Onto the goals...
1. Finish Charlee's room - This is one that has a deadline. To ease my mind, I'd like to have this done by the 15th. The 36 week mark is the following Tuesday and that's basically the "any day now" point for me I think. There are a couple things left to buy décor wise and essential wise. I'm buying the rest of the essentials tomorrow and the curtains so I can spend next weekend getting it all put together.

2. Finish prepping for the first few weeks of having a newborn again - I mentioned the other day that we have been freezing meals as we make them. I don't have the desire to spend an entire afternoon or day even to make 15-20 meals, let alone the extra funds to throw at the grocery bill. Doing it in spurts is better for me. Danny made 3 more on Wednesday and I have 2 more that I'm making tonight. I'm hoping Sunday I'll be a little more over this sickness I have going on so I can throw together some beef and bean burritos to put in the freezer. I'm hoping to make some breakfast burritos or sandwiches next. I've been stocking up on snacks and part of my shopping this weekend includes getting things like a big package of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, paper plates, etc. I should add coffee to this list. And oatmeal.

3. Assemble busy bags for Tucker - I've been stashing away some toys here and there for him. My brother and sister-in-law got him a bag of coloring books, stickers and crayons for his birthday. I quickly hid it, like while the party was still going on quick, so I can pull it out and its shiny and new again. A restaurant/shop in town has a ton of Melissa & Doug toys so I got him some reusable stickers and a water painting book. I've also found some easy, little to no effort to throw together "busy bags" on Pinterest and bought some of the materials for. All of these things are mostly for when Danny goes back to work and I'm home alone with both kids. These might not get done. The other stuff is first so this is extra.

4. Tie up loose ends at work - Out of 15 clients, I only have 4 more to meet with. I also need to get things pretty well prepared for taxes so my brother doesn't have to do it. He can handle it, he'll just be busy with the rest of our sales season too. I also need to get my personal taxes ready to be done.  One of my four meetings has to be done next week because its 2 hours away, but the other 3 are local so they won't be a big deal. I'm hoping to have all of this done by 2/17.

That's it for this month. Like I said, all pregnancy related and all under a deadline.
