Catching Up: June

The month of June was certainly a busy one with it being the month my little brother got married!

The first weekend was my new sister-in-law's bachelorette weekend. Her and I along with 3 other bridesmaids spent Friday night through Sunday morning at a lake house in northern Indiana. Unfortunately it rained almost the entire day on Saturday, so a lot of it was just spent laying around and talking. And eating. As well as drinking.

We went on a mid-week camping trip at a nearby campground.

By the end of that week, Danny had his new job. It all happened very quickly and it was a tough decision. Danny and I were both crying while discussing it at one point. He gave his hometown department 8 years of his life and could have given his whole life given his profession. I am still so proud of my husband to putting himself first for once though and I know he is going to do great things. Life hasn't really changed for us in that area. His schedule is the EXACT same, down to the scheduled days and everything, so that has been nice.

The next weekend was the wedding weekend!

My brother and some of his friends stringing lanterns.
There were a lot of lanterns.

The rehearsal went great. Tucker showed a lot of potential in his job as ring bearer.

Tucker flirting with all the girls. I kid you not, he made this girl's boyfriend get up and sit somewhere else.

Drew and Megan eat at the Mexican restaurant in town so often that the restaurant gifted them one of their little statues.

Before my wedding, Drew and I had a Crown Royal drink in memory of our dad. We made sure to do the same before Drew's wedding.

Me and the ring bearer.

Danny was an usher but go upgraded to co-ring bearer at the last minute since Tucker wasn't really feeling it. Even with tractors in his hand haha.

Danny was super dad the entire day though so I could do what I needed to do. He succeeded obviously!

The next weekend we went to A Day Out With Thomas with our new neighbors that have a little boy Tucker's age. Tucker loved the bouncy train and was okay with the ride on the train. It was really hot that day.

That was pretty much our June! It was a busy month but it was also great!

I'm Coming Back / What's Up Wednesday

In true Erin fashion, I have taken a few months off and I am popping back in for a What's Up Wednesday post. I took the time off because this summer I got really overwhelmed with life. Running a business, my brother's wedding, momming, and many other things just got in my way and blogging felt like another chore. Over the last few weeks I have realized I need chores to keep me in check. I miss documenting our lives and dumping my brain when I have something on my mind. So, I'm back!

My plan is to post today, then do a recap of our summer, month by month. It's been an exciting summer and one that I don't want to forget!

What we're eating this week...
This picture is partially why I've decided to start back up again. Danny wants to do a Whole30 for his birthday (he's lost his mind) and I like to make Skinny Sour Cream Enchiladas the week before.

They are delicious and reheat well. I know this because I ate 2 for breakfast. This is also why we need to do a Whole30.

What I'm reminiscing about...
Danny's past birthdays. His birthday is on Saturday. I'm sure he won't be reading this, so I can spill my plans of taking him dessert to work to share with his co-workers since he has to work on his birthday. I haven't decided what that will be yet though!

What I'm loving...
I binge watched The Mindy Project on Hulu a couple of weeks ago. I was laid up on the couch and watched no less than 60 episodes in 2 days. I think I watched all 4 seasons a matter of 2 weeks. I cannot wait for season 5 to start next week. I love her. And I love her and Danny.

What we've been up to...
September has been a whole lotta nothing. We went camping over Labor Day where Tucker went boating for the first time. I'm certain he won't remember it. Not because he's 2, but because he spent the entire ride out, time on the water and entire ride in like this.

We also went to our town's homecoming parade. I was surprised to see my sister-in-law on a horse. She has never ridden a horse and had enough balls to do it for the first time in front of hundreds of people down our towns main street. Love her!

Tucker and his cousin got so much candy they could not have cared less about the fact that I was trying to take their picture.

What I'm dreading...
I can't think of anything at the moment.

What I'm working on...
Slowly working on Tucker's big boy room. His bed is set up and his dresser and train table are moved. His hanging clothes are still in his original closet along with his pull ups. Speaking of pull ups, Tuck is potty trained!!!!!! For pee anyways. Poop is another story and as much as I hate cleaning poop out of underwear, I can be a little more patient on that one.

What I'm excited about...
I'll let this picture do the talking!

Diesel AND Tucker will be big brothers in March! Aside from the enchiladas, this is the real reason I want to start blogging again. I am 15 weeks, we haven't announced and I have done nothing but take a few bump pics on my phone to document this pregnancy. This kid is already suffering from second child problems. We also haven't made the official announcement on Facebook yet.

What I'm watching/reading...
Re-watching Desperate Housewives while fall TV gets in full swing. I'm going to have to do a whole Fall TV post because there are so many great shows out there this season!

As for reading, I still don't really do that.

What I'm listening to...
I really love Carrie Underwood's new single, Dirty Laundry. But not as much as Tucker loves the Gummi Bear Song on YouTube. Parents, don't let your kids listen to it. Its awful.

What I'm wearing...
Maternity clothes. Almost exclusively. At just 15 weeks.

What I'm doing this weekend...
Celebrating my hubby! We'll be taking him birthday treats to work on Saturday. Sunday we are celebrating with his family. Danny and his grandpa share a birthday, so there is usually dinner and cake to celebrate them.

What I'm looking forward to next month...
We find out if Baby #2 is a boy or girl on October 27th, so that's pretty much all that I care about next month! The weekend after we are taking a trip to Evansville to take Tucker to Paw Patrol Live with a childhood friend of mine and her husband and son. Our moms took us to see Beauty and the Beast on ice, so it's neat that we get to take our boys to do something similar!

What else is new...
Well, Danny has a new job! I'll talk about that more when I get a June recap done. He is still a firefighter/paramedic, just in a different town.

Bonus: What is your favorite fall food...
Soup! Soup has been my BFF this pregnancy and I am so excited about soup weather. Potato soup is my number one.

That's what we've been up too for the last month or so! I am hoping tomorrow I can get a June recap up!
